The National Breastfeeding Helpline is open on 0300 100 0212 from 9.30am-9.30pm every single day of the year, offering non-judgemental, evidence based, caller centred, independent, friendly breastfeeding support and information to anyone in the UK who needs it.
The National Breastfeeding Helpline is run as a partnership between The Breastfeeding Network and the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers.
Both organisations have offered helpline services for many years but the National Breastfeeding Helpline in its current form was established in 2008.
All calls are answered by volunteers who have breastfed their own children, have completed comprehensive training and undertake ongoing training and supervision.
The Helpline is funded by Public Health England via Serco, and the Scottish Government.
